  1. Are we doing anything important in class tonight?

  26. (Written on top of the final paper): Dear Professor Jones: If this paper brings me down below a "B", I would like to take an incomplete.

  28. There's nothing written on the subject. I looked for a book in the “liberry” and couldn't find one.
  29. I missed class last week. Can you tell me what went on? Was anything “important" covered?
